Simone Biles is already an 11-time Olympic medalist. It seems as if ever since she took the world by storm, she just continue to stack on accomplishment after accomplishment. The prolific gymnast haas yet added another title to her resume being named the 2024 Sports Illustrated Sportsperson of the year.
Simone Biles earned more gold medals in her brilliant 2024 Paris Olympics performance. Specifically, she added four new medals to her collection in a combination of team, all-around, vault, and floor exercise. Simone Biles is only 27 years old, and she is tied for the 2nd most decorated female gymnast in Olympic history. She won 3 gold medals and a silver medal in Paris a few years ago, after withdrawing from the team final at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, while suffering from the disorienting gymnast condition, "the twisties".
Simone Biles will receive her 2024 Sportsperson of the Year award on January 7th, at the Sports Illustrated annual awards ceremony in Las Vegas.
