All games will be played in a tournamnent style. For each game that is played, you must win in order to advance to the next round. Therefore, if you do not win, you are to be disqualified from the game competion. For each team game, there will be two players assigned to each team. One team member must be blind or visually impaired and the other must serve as the guide. For each individual game, contestants must be blind or visually impaired and others must wear a blindfold. There will be three winning spots for each game being 1st place [gold], 2nd place [silver], and 3rd place [bronze].
Meet at the Havana Bar between the times of 11:00 AM and 11:45 AM on October 28th to register for the Wisdom 4 The Blind Olympic Games and learn the rules of all of the events.
The Wisdom's Pool Luge competition will take place on October 29th from 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM at the waterslide.
Wisdom's Pool Luge Relay is a game that will be played to see how agile you are and how fast you can move. Each player must be blind or visually impaired or wear a blindfold. Each team will be tasked with getting up and down a slide as quickly as they can. There will be one member of the team that starts at the top of the slide and the other must start at the bottom of the slide. The first team member at the top of the slide must go down as quickly as they can and slap the hand of their teammate. Once the first team member slaps the hand of their teammate, the contestant at the bottom of the slide must reach the top of slide as quickly as they can. Once the second team member reaches the top of the slide, they must ring a bell in order to win officially win the game for their team. If the contestant does not ring the bell, their team has not yet officially won the game.
Wisdom's Slide Relay Rules:
Objective: Players and their teammate must reach the bottom and top of the slide as quickly as they can.
