All games will be played in a tournamnent style. For each game that is played, you must win in order to advance to the next round. Therefore, if you do not win, you are to be disqualified from the game competion. For each team game, there will be two players assigned to each team. One team member must be blind or visually impaired and the other must serve as the guide. For each individual game, contestants must be blind or visually impaired and others must wear a blindfold. There will be three winning spots for each game being 1st place [gold], 2nd place [silver], and 3rd place [bronze].
Meet at the Havana Bar between the times of 11:00 AM and 11:45 AM on October 28th to register for the Wisdom 4 The Blind Olympic Games and learn the rules of all of the events.
The Penalty Kick competition will take place on October 29th from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM on the basketball court.
In Penalty Kick, there will be two teams and each team will consist of 2 players. Teams must kick as many balls as they can into the net out of 5 attempts. There will be 5 goals and there will be a sensor on the left side and the right side of the goal ensuring that the ball was kicked into the goal. The ball must be kicked into the net without being intercepted by the goalie. Each player will have 3 attempts to kick 5 balls into the net. After the 3 attempts, the next teammate will go. After each player from one team takes their 3 attempts at kicking the ball into the net, the next team will go. Each player from each team that scored the most goals will advance to the final round for their team. Each player in the final round will have 3 attempts to kick 5 balls into the net. After the 3 attempts, the next player from the opposite team will go. Whichever team scores the most goals total wins the game.
Penalty Kick Rules:
Objective: Teams must kicks as many balls into the net as they can out of [3 attempts] 5 goals without getting the ball blocked by the goalie.
